Maggie Margret had a Bearded Dragon Lizard named Moon Dust.  Maggie Margret’s Moon Dust had an over night visit from a  Bearded Dragon named Oliver.  Everyone counted the days and then right on time, like a CD maturing, Moon Dust laid some eggs.  Total number of eggs: 19.

Terry has a house in Riverside.  She paid $180,000 for it years ago.  Then two years ago she was told her home was worth $420,000. Total amount of equity:$350,000.

Moon Dust laid 19 eggs.  Eggs are not lizards.   Terry had $350,000 in equity.  Equity is not dollars.  Equity is equity and eggs are eggs.  Not dollars, not lizards.

So when we ask where the money went that is gone from Wall Street, from banks,  from our reach, and from our future and then we are told it never existed, it was not real, this is why:  It was eggs, it was just written down, is was imagined but never made real.

And the nineteen eggs?  A fungus developed, the shells became soft and moldy and it did not bode well for them.  They never were nor did they ever become Bearded Dragons. A list had been made of who might want a Bearded Dragon when they hatched but now there are no dragons to share.  And sadly, Moon Dust died.  Her grave site is over by the berry bush.    Maggie Margret was sad about Moon Dust and so we would talk about her.

And Terry calls sometimes, she is sad too.  She had a list of what she would do with her dollars too.

If you are grieving about the loss of lizards or dollars it is ok to be sad.  Maggie Margert said exactly that.
“Do you know how long I am going to be sad about Moon Dust?”  I told her I did not know.  “Well,” she said, “I am going to be sad until I am not sad anymore.”

If you have lost sometiing, even if it was something you never had, you may be very sad.  And according to Maggie Margret that is ok.  Loss is loss.

This week I have been calling people I have work with on a regualr basis and talking to them about the stock market.

The market is very broken.  It is not working right.  If it were a car I would say it is making a very strange noise a noise that tells us something is seriously wrong.

I have decided it is time to sell.  Time to get out.  It feels like Pompeii the week before the people became plaster casts for future tourist attractions.

For months and months I have had a dizzying sensation that I can only describe as ‘money going up’, leaving.  It was as if a vacuum was being created on the ‘level’ for lack of a better word, of where I exist.

I translated the image in my intuition into a Google search, “where is the money going?”  And indeed it is going away.  You may, or may not, want to use the same search and read the first few pages.  Those pages read like a poem of betrayal.  The money is going away from the people.

And so now I hear a strange noise.  A noise from the stock market.  It is a grinding noise, one that tells even the most untrained that this machine, this vehicle is very very broken.

If you wish to understand how it is broke, if you wish to look under the hood, you will probably need to increase your vocabulary.

Terms you will need to get your mind around:

Credit Default Swaps:  This is when a buyer of an ‘investment’ receives ‘credit protection’.  Now the word credit here is really used to express RISK or DEBT protection.  So lets say you were trying to sell me a big bundle of other peoples debt, like  sub prime loans, or stock in a company that is not well balanced, and I said, oh, I can not buy that for my retirement fund, and you the seller would say, Oh, don’t worry about the risk, because we can insure the risk for you.  We call it a swap because if we called it insurance it would have to be regulated and we would be required to actually have the at least a smidgen money to pay you on hand, so we call it a swap and we do not have to prove to anyone we can actually pay what we promise.  So I say.. Oh! How wonderful the risk is insured!  I will take two!

An interesting thing about Credit Default Swaps is that you do not have to have a real interest in what you are insuring.  It is like I take out a life insurance policy on your husband.  So I can place a ‘bet’ that a company will fail and I will profit.  I can profit from a loss that I really have no stake in.

Credit Default Swap losses are in the trillions.  I have to admit I have no idea, no usable concept of what a trillion is.  Emotionally I understand it to be a very large number.  A big number like a black cloud, about the size of the cloud that might have blocked the sun from shining on the earth and all the dinosaurs died.  About the size of that cloud. That is my emotional understanding of a trillion.  It is too big to be kind to creation.

Another term or practice to maybe understand is Over Night Lending.  I call is Cash Spackle

This is the money that banks push around between each other so they are able to meet the minimum requirement of cash on hand, or companies use to make payroll. It is like spackle, it is used to patch cracks in cash flow.  It is like Oil in the car, it smooths the movement of the money machines, like banks.  For the first time banks do not trust each other to repay and now do not lend to each other.  Without this oil, this overnight lending, the money machines are squeaking and seizing up.

Mark to Market, this term is about lack of true or known value.  Value is usually based on what something can sell for.  I have a 8 year old Honda Civic.  It can be given a value based on recent sales of similar cars.  So on my personal asset sheet I list its value at, lets say $4,000.  But big banks are holding assets that have no known value, closed strip malls, vacant buildings, and who knows what else.  But it gets more abstract than that.  Like financial instruments, that are based on other instruments that are based on a concept of money or value.  I don’t understand this exactly yet.  But it is financial instruments many times removed from real value.

When you have time, pick a financial article and google the terms you do not understand.  Don’t fall into confusion, increase your vocabulary and move with confidence past it.

And so I ask you, do you hear a strange noise?  Is it time to sell?

If you close your eyes what do you imagine when you think of the Stock Market?

And please, don’t let the big boys confuse you.  Expand your vocabulary, begin to learn the words they are saying and then you can begin to build an understanding to dance with your intuition.

There may be a mind set that says to sell off one’s portfolio is fear based.  It is like being asked to not notice that the mayor is drunk or think that the  priest might be of low nature.  “Good People” do not think such things or take notice of such a rude reality.  Just see the ‘best’.  Do not notice the betrayal.  In fact a successful betrayal requires that the betrayed continue to  think positive of them.  “Our priest would never do that!”  “My partner would never cheat me!”   “My government protects me and watches out for the citizens best interests.”

If I go so far as to notice that the market is broken in a way that can not be fixed is it fear based to suggest that my clients sell or is it a statement of wise consideration?

People come to me to discuss how to maximize their future.  The market is very broken.  If your trust was in the market you may feel betrayed.

There comes a point where we betray ourselves by not paying attention to warning signs.  When we stay too long in situations because we lack the emotional courage, (for that is what it takes, courage, to make a new plan, a new dream and to re-evaluate our idea of security) we betray ourselves.  We stay too long because we believe so strongly in how ‘it should be’ we can not see how it is.

So where does positive thinking come in?  Is it rude and negative to see the betrayal?  Is it negative to say the market is broken?  I think not, I think it is reality.  If the brakes go out on your car do you think that positive thinking will help you stop in time?  No, you take action and repair it.

Trust does not bring rewards if placed in untrustworthy people.  Trust placed in trustworthy situations seems to work best.

Positive thinking does not serve one well if directed at corrupt or broken traditions.

I am positive that the people who sell soon will suffer less loss than those who wait.

It is hard to face a betrayal of those things we have put our trust in.  Even our own assumptions.  “If I work hard and do the right things I will be rewarded with security.”

The Tower card in the Tarot is what we are facing now.  The lightening of illusions being revealed. The harshness of old towers of belief falling and revealing structural faults in the architecture of our culture and national momentum.  The ivory towers, Wall Street, and the Twin towers.  Many things are falling.  Where do we stand?  Where do we turn?  What do we hope for? Do we dare to wonder who knocked these towers down? They looked so strong before.

Will intervention come from above and beyond ourselves?  Some Christians wait for the Rapture, some New Age people believe in a 2012 Revelation.  There are great stories out there about the Aliens coming from beyond to perk us up and protect us from ourselves.  Some still think the government, as a wise body of fellow citizens and ruling authority will apply the necessary fix.  Who can say?  But perhaps this is a way to elude personal responsibility and ability.  “I don’t need to deal with this because X is going to happen.”  That is indeed one way to look at it.

In the meanwhile we live in a time that requires change and courage and faith.

I am positive that if we open our eyes to what is supporting us and our future and separate ourselves from what is betraying and depleting us we can make some brave choices that allow for continued survival and comfort.

My Queendom has served me well.  Being Queen I have to be responsible and one would think a queen would consider options carefully in each decission.  My purchases, who I support with my dollars, my energy use, my relationship with the neighboing Queendoms and Kingdoms, and in fact other countries. Much is to be considered.  I have a balance of trade to consider.  I have industries and people I wish to support.  And I have those I owe. When you think about it a household is very much like a country.  It is a very very small but important country. Important because it is run by a small unit, a family or individual.

Creating my own country reminds me that what I do matters.  I know what one person does matters.  Sometimes you can not see how what you do makes a difference but it always does, if nothing else it makes a difference to that one person.

I did feel I needed my own country.  The one before, the other country, made my head spin.  It was, of course The Spin Zone.  An odd language was spoken.  Inquiry was met with redicule and shame based name calling.  It was a difficult conversation to be in.  I do not wish to be against something or someone.  I want to be for things.  Perhaps it is a fault in myself, but I could find nothing I was for under the current government of my past country.

I have become Queen to encourage you to become Queen or King, to rule your own estate, your home, your income, create your future and enjoy your present. And then again, I have become Queen to remind myself of all of that as well.  Shall we rule together?

Some days I wake up while it is still dark.  Light will at some point occur on the roof tops and then sort of ease down and spread around.  Other days the light is already situated like when you to meet a friend in a coffee shop and they are already there with their coffee and their newspaper is open and turned to a certain page.  They are situated.

What might I request of this day?  Of today I request happy and responsible placement of dollars.  I would like some placed in my mail box, some in my checking account, a few in the hands of a local coffee shop, and probably 10 in the hands of the local vet for cutting the dogs nails.

Dollars out there flying around like birds.  Some people are tracking them.  There is a site called Where’s George that tracks the flight of dollars

A project I worked on is now complete and of this day I could request that it’s reward come in.  ( that would be dollars )  I do use the dollars of the Land of Unhoyle.  I do not have enough citizens to create my own currancy.  I don’t wash them or anything.  I try to direct them.  I am not sure my vote is correctly counted but I do know that my dollars are.  Dollars are always counted.  They are my most consistant vote.

As Queen I must be aware of who I am supporting.  As Queen I am responsible for where my dollars go.

This will keep me safe.  In my old country, which I refer to for now as Unhoyle, much much much harm was done, they say, due to failure of imagination. It is my hypothesis that with imagination and common sense my home (land?) will be safe. Further thought may be required as while I am above the actual land, I do have some plants so there is soil within my Queendom. So do I have a homeland or not?

For now I will just say ‘home’ or Queendom. Homeland is rather over used these days. The best thing to do may be to let it rest for a decade or eight.

I also imagine I have a law, and in fact a tradition, that does not allow dishing out aggravation to my neighboring realms.  I will call it the No Dishing Law.

The first is I wish to live in a country that creates no harm.  I realize I am  not that harmless, I am not without fault so let me rephrase.  I wish to live in a country that intends to cause as little harm as possible, a country that is not mean and does not bully.

The second reason for this is if I create my own Queendom then I can be Queen.  As Queen I am reminded daily of the importance of my decisions.  I stay reminded of my responsibilities and my favorite lie, the lie that says what one person does is of little matter, becomes vapor under the reminder of my title.  I am Queen, what I do matters for I have a Queendom, an estate, my home.  I have a treasury, my dollars.  I have a few subjects to steward.  I have enough ingredients to start a declared Queendom.

And third, it amuses me.
